Deputy Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, ECCB, Dr. Valda Henry, has called for increased representation for the credit union movement on the regulatory boards of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
Dr. Henry was the keynote speaker at the 17th OCES Credit Union Summit, which opened in Dominica on Wednesday under the theme “Empowered to Thrive in An Evolving Landscape.”
The Deputy Governor says that as the credit union movement grows, the sector needs to be regulated.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Finance and Economic Development, Dr. Irving McIntyre, stated that the credit union movement in Dominica is now better equipped to address the current economic challenges.
