Assistant coach of Dominica’s senior women’s national football team, Sheldon Casimir, says he is anticipating another difficult encounter as the team prepares to resume its FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
Dominica is scheduled to face Guyana in Guyana next week as Group B action continues.
The team enters the match following an 18–0 defeat to Jamaica in their opening fixture.
Despite that heavy loss, Casimir believes the squad has made significant strides since their last outing against Jamaica.
Casimir says the team has worked a lot to improve on overall fitness.
Dominica has been drawn in Group B alongside Nicaragua, Guyana, Jamaica and Antigua.
The team is scheduled to depart the island on Monday ahead of next week’s fixture.
