National Epidemiologist Dr. Shalauddin Ahmed has called on members of the public to take measures to protect themselves against vector borne diseases.
This as mild outbreak of dengue was recorded in Dominica during the period October 2023 to March 2024.
Ahmed says during this outbreak Dominica saw the presence of four dengue viruses.

Ahmed also warned of the presence of a new vector borne disease that has been reported in one of the Caribbean islands.
