President of Dominica Her Excellency Sylvanie Burton says the elderly are the foundation on which Dominica stands.
Today, Dominica joins the international community in the observance of International Day of Older Persons under the theme “Older Persons Driving Local and Global Action: Our Aspirations, Our Well-Being, Our Rights”.
Her Excellency Burton says the legacy of the elderly must be honored and preserved.
President Burton also paid tribute to Dominica’s centenarians, 4 of whom recently celebrated birthdays.
