Minister for Education Octavia Alfred says education officials in Dominica reached out to Dominican students in Jamaica and Cuba ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Melissa.
Hurricane Mellissa was predicted to be dangerous by the time it makes landfall.
Mrs. Alfred says Government will continue to the monitor the hurricane and make the necessary contact with Dominican students.
