Former CWI Vice-President Wants Dominica Back on Regional Cricket Calendar

Former Cricket West Indies Vice-President, Emmanuel Nanthan, believes Cricket West Indies has an obligation to schedule more matches in Dominica following the completion of the new EC$13.8 million lighting project at Windsor Park Sports Stadium.

Nanthan said Dominican cricket fans have remained passionate about the sport despite years of limited international cricket on the island following the destruction of the stadium’s lighting system during Hurricane Maria in 2017.

The former Cricket West Indies Vice-President pointed to the significant investments made by the government of Dominica in restoring and upgrading Windsor Park, including repairs following Hurricane Maria and the investment in the new lighting system.
