Former Prime Minister of Dominica, Edison James, says the recent court ruling in his favour against Magistrate Michael Laudat is a vindication of his constitutional rights and is not about monetary compensation.
The High Court in Dominica ruled in favour of James, who challenged Mr Laudat’s decision to place him in the court’s holding cells on February 16, 2025, while awaiting a possible bail hearing.
James spoke to DBS News on the court ruling on Wednesday.
