The Government of Dominica has announced the appointment of Treneese Hamilton and Stephan Pascal as Sports Ambassadors in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions to sports.
Effective September 1, 2025, Treneese Hamilton will serve as Sports Ambassador for Dominica.
She will be allocated a housing lot and granted a Diplomatic Passport to facilitate her travels while representing Dominica.
Hamilton recently secured Dominica’s first-ever Gold Medal at the Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay, with a record throw of 17.21 meters in the women’s shot put.
Stephan Pascal will assume the role of Youth Sports Ambassador, effective September 1, 2025.
To further support his professional development, he will receive a monthly stipend to assist with expenses related to his cricketing career.
Pascal created history as the first Dominican to captain a West Indies Cricket Team, leading the West Indies Under-19 squad at the 2024 ICC Youth Cricket World Cup in South Africa.
The ambassadorial appointments and accompanying benefits form part of the government’s ongoing policy to recognise and empower young athletes, ensuring they are supported as role models and given every opportunity to excel.
The Government of Dominica congratulates Ms. Hamilton and Mr. Pascal on their achievements and looks forward to their continued success in their respective disciplines.
