Lawyers for former Prime Minister Edison James, UWP leader Dr. Thompson Fontaine and Lennox Linton have objected to incitement charges which were to be read to their clients in court on Thursday.
James, Fontaine and Linton were charged with incitement in 2017 after a meeting of the UWP in Roseau.
After the meeting several businesses in Roseau were damaged.
The three made an appearance in court, but the matter was adjourned to later this month.

Meantime leader of the UWP, Dr. Thompson Fontaine says he is optimistic that the incitement charge will not prevail in court.
