MV Amera makes inaugural call to Dominica

Captain of the MV Amera, Odd Jarle Flatebo, has commended the Ministry of Tourism for the facilities developed to ensure a smooth docking process for cruise ships in Roseau.

His remarks were made during the inaugural ceremony for the MV Amera this morning, as the ship docked in Dominica with approximately 900 cruise passengers onboard.

The 2025/2026 cruise ship season, which opened on October 15, is projected to be the largest in history.

This year, Dominica expects over 470,000 cruise passengers and 274 cruise calls, which includes 13 inaugural visits from major international cruise lines.
