Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit to participate in the 7th sitting of the OECS Assembly in St Vincent today

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has included Marigot MP Anthony Charles in his delegation for the 7th sitting of the OECS Assembly in St Vincent today.

The delegation also includes Parliamentarians Cassani Laville, Roland Royer and Dr. Cassandra Williams.

The assembly will be held under the theme ‘Strengthening Regional Unity in a Shifting Global Order’.

Mr. Skerrit will attend the OECS Heads meeting tomorrow.

The meeting will address key matters including free movement and the legislative framework for implementation, and the impact of global trade and economic policies on OECS member states. 

During the session, Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will assume the chairmanship of the OECS Authority.

Ambassador to the OECS and CARICOM His Excellency Dr. Gerald Jean Jacques and permanent secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister Missy Henderson will also participate in the meeting.

In the Prime Minister’s absence, Minister for Tourism Denise Charles Pemberton will serve as Acting Prime Minister.
