Ten Dominican women were today presented with Exceptional Women Awards

Apostle Jodi Andrew, Earnica Esprit and Dr. Nadia Wallace are among ten Dominican women who were today presented with Exceptional Women Awards.

The 10th edition of the Exceptional Women Award ceremony was held at the State House Conference Centre this morning under the theme “Empowered Women: The Architect of Change and the Face of Tomorrow”.

The ten women who were awarded by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Social Services are Apostle Jodi Andrew, Leandra Lander, Earnica Esprit, Regina Joseph Lestrade, Vernandra Christian, Angelica Gasper, Marlietta Valmond, Agnes Joseph, Dr. Nadia Wallace and Melissa Morgan.

They were honored for their efforts in various sectors including agriculture, mental health, social change, child rights advocacy, community empowerment, health, the arts, and more.

Member of Parliament for the Roseau Central Constituency Melissa Poponne Skerrit was the featured speaker at today’s award ceremony.
