The Criminal Investigation Department says it has been investigating several major fraudulent transactions committed against business entities, particularly in the city of Roseau where a total value of cash and properties in excess of EC$150,000.00 was involved in the suspect’s unlawful activities.
Police confirm that Quincy Bruce male adult of Soufriere who had been arrested for the alleged fraudulent transactions has been charged for attempted deception in the purchase of a vehicle valued at EC $97,000,00.
The other investigations involving fraudulent transactions are ongoing.
In another matter, a young man from a northeast community who was arrested on suspicion by the police for the shooting incident of Narrin Murphy’s vehicle in Jimmit on 19th of January has been released pending further investigation into the matter.
