The Dominica Council on Ageing has condemned the murder of the 72-year-old Toucarie woman

A Toucarie man is remanded in custody at Stockfarm prison after he was charged with the murder of 72-year-old Giselle Carbon Michleau of the community.

Paul Vital was taken before a Portsmouth Magistrate yesterday where the charge was read to him.

He was not required to enter a plea.

The preliminary inquiry into the matter is set for March 11, 2025.

The body of the 72-year-old woman was found bonded to a concrete block with her hands tied at the sea bed in Toucarie on the 14th of November 2024.

The police immediately began intense investigation and Paul Vital was arrested with the incident.

Meantime, President of the Dominica Council on Ageing Nigel Lawrence has condemned the murder of the 72-year-old woman of Toucarie.
