In response to a suspected drowning at sea in the Delices area, a crew from the Dominica Coast Guard has recovered the lifeless body of Abner Etienne male adult of Delices.
His body was recovered on the morning of Saturday 22nd.
Subsequently on that day the body was medically declared dead by the district doctor and transported to a funeral home pending an autopsy.
Police say the deceased was swept away at sea in distress by a wave while he was rock fishing.
He was a councilor on the Delices Village Council.
The preliminary investigation by the district police suggest no foul play and the death seems to be related to a tragic incident.
