The Ministry of Health is reporting an end to the most significant gastroenteritis outbreak that Dominica has experienced in the last 18 years.
The outbreak which began in January saw over 1600 reported cases.
National Epidemiologist Dr. Shalauddin Ahmed disclosed the information at a recent health update.
Dr. Ahmed says about 92 individuals were hospitalized during the gastroenteritis outbreak period.
