The process has begun for the development of a National Dementia plan for Dominica.

Director of Premium Home and Residential Care Services (PHARCS) in Dominica, Marie-Therese Junkere, says the process has begun for the development of a National Dementia plan for Dominica.

In October 2024, the Dominica Dementia Foundation announced that a comprehensive dementia plan will be developed and implemented in Dominica.

Junkere says several organisations are working to ensure the proper rollout of this plan.
