Trinity Esprit Says 1-1 Antigua Draw Was ‘Heartbreaking’

Captain of the Dominica Women’s Senior National Football team, Trinity Esprit, says the Dominica team gave a good account of themselves against Antigua and Barbuda on Tuesday despite the results.

She said Tuesday’s World Cup Qualifying result was heartbreaking as the National Women’s team earned their first point of the tournament in a drawn match with Antigua.

Trinity Esprit put Dominica in front in the second half, only to conceded a late penalty as the match ended 1-1.

Dominica however, still remains at the bottom of the group with their next match against Nicaragua on the weekend.
