West Indies ODI captain Shai Hope says the ODI series against Sri Lanka highlighted why every game matters and why the West Indies have to capitalize on every moment of a match.
His comments as the 3rd ODI was abandoned on Monday without a ball being bowled at Sabina Park.
As a result, the West Indies lost the ODI series 1-nil. The 2nd ODI was also washed out.
Hope says this stresses the importance of always maximizing opportunities.
Meantime, Windward Islands batsman Ackeem Auguste has been included in the West Indies T20 team for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, which starts on Thursday in Jamaica.

The team is being captained by Shai Hope and reads, Jewel Andrew, Ackeem Auguste, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Gudakesh Motie, Rovman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd and Shamar Springer.
Fast bowler Alzarri Joseph was not considered for selection as part of workload management plans and will continue his training and preparation ahead of the two-match test series being held in Antigua.
