9-year-old Kaisa Nicholas, a pupil of Convent Prep emerged winner of the 2026 National Reading Competition

9-year-old Kaisa Nicholas of Kingshill, a pupil of Convent Prep, has emerged as the winner of the 2026 DBS Radio, Felix Henderson, Ministry of Education, national reading competition.

Nicolas beat Kaylanie Valmond of Sineku Primary into second place.  Amilia Jno Baptiste of Light House Christian Academy placed third, and St Martin’s Primary student Gabrielle  Benjamin was fourth.

Winner of the competition, Kaisa Nicholas, said he was well prepared for the finals.
