A delegation from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is currently on the island to conduct a three-day mission.
The purpose of their mission is to assess the Medical Air System at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital and evaluate the national blood transfusion service in Dominica.
According to Dr. Nicole Slack Liburd, PAHO’s Country Program Director, this mission aligns with PAHO’s mandate to achieve universal access to healthcare.

Meantime, CEO Of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital Nancy Francis says the mission will help enhance the quality of care being offered at the hospital.
