Dominican guitarist Jerry Moulon says he is elated to have received Dominica’s highest cultural award , the Golden drum award.
Moulon was among six cultural icons who received the golden drum award at the State House conference Centre over the weekend.

The other golden drum awardees are Robert Amstrong James for promotion and development of contemporary classical music and Lorraine Delsol for development and promotion of creole wear and traditional culture.
Five special awards were presented to Marie Pascale Affana , for excellence in music performance and choral music ,Deighton Voliere for excellence in music performance and education and Andrea LOUIS for excellence in the promotion and development of steel pan music.
