Dominica captured a silver medal at the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Beach Volleyball Championships in St. Kitts on Sunday after an impressive run by the men’s team.
The Dominican pairing of Caiston Anthony and Tajh Jno Jules fell to hosts St. Lucia in the men’s final, losing in straight sets 21-18, 21-19 to settle for second place.
Despite missing out on the gold medal, Team Dominica coach Yhan Florant praised the players’ performance throughout the tournament, saying they gave a commendable account of themselves.
Meanwhile, Dominica’s women’s team of Ciera Kita Frederick and Delila Daniel finished 11th overall after competing against some of the region’s top beach volleyball pairs.
