
The miserable run for the Dominica National Under-16 Netball team at the Caribbean Netball Association Jean Pierre Under-16 tournament continued Thursday as the girls suffered their 4th defeat in 5 matches.
The Dominica U16 Netball team went down to Grenada U16 18-29.
Dominica will play their final match against Antigua at 3pm this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Dominican shooters secured a fourth place finish in Thursday’s shooting competition which also formed part of the Jean Pierre Under-16 Netball Tournament in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Dominican side tallied 78 points, finishing just behind third-placed St. Lucia (87) and second-placed Grenada (98).
Host nation Trinidad and Tobago led the field with a commanding 132 points to take top spot. Barbados finished just one point behind Dominica on 77 points in 5th.
The result also placed Dominica ahead of the Cayman Islands who had 59 points and Antigua 52 points. The Dominican shooters were Krissia Pierre with a score of 31, Jaycolia Benjamin had 30, and Adhari Samuel with 17.
