The Dominica Fire and Ambulance Service is mourning the loss of one of its own following a fatal vehicular accident involving 23-year-old Fire Officer Nash Gilbert from Penville.
DBS NEWS can confirm that Gilbert was attached to the Roseau fire station and at the time was driving home from his shift.
According to reports, the accident occurred in the pointe round area in the north of the island this afternoon.
