Air access into Dominica is set to improve, as LIAT 2020 makes its inaugural flight into Douglas Charles airport today.
LIAT 2020, the revised incarnation of one of the Caribbean’s most popular Airlines made its inaugural flight earlier this year, marking a significant milestone in regional aviation.
LIAT 2020 is a collaboration between Nigerian Carrier Air Peace Limited and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
The development comes after the closure of LIAT 1974 Ltd.
The new airline is the brainchild of Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Brown.
The inaugural flight at the Douglas Charles Airport is at 12.30 pm
A welcome ceremony at Douglas Charles airport will feature officials of Discover Dominica Authority and LIAT 2020.
