Laville Scores Four as Dublanc Crush Point Michel to Maintain Perfect Start

Defending champions Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC continued their dominant start to the Dominica Football Association (DFA) Premier League season with a resounding 12-3 victory over Petro Caribe Point Michel as Round Two got underway at the DFA Technical Centre over the weekend.

National player Audel Laville stole the show with a four-goal haul, earning the Man of the Match award. Antawn Laroque and Savio Anselm each scored twice, while Marcus Bredas and Briel Thomas also found the back of the net.

Point Michel’s goals came from Danel Dupigny, Malachi Labad, and Perry Charles.

The victory was Dublanc’s 10th consecutive win of the season, extending their lead at the top of the standings to 30 points. Audel Laville was named Man of the Match.

Meanwhile, Second-placed Sagicor South East FC remained in pursuit of the leaders with an emphatic 6-1 victory over the Roosevelt Skerrit Bombers.

Adriel Lawrence netted a hat-trick, Tarran George added two goals, and Joslyn Prince also scored. Reon Cuffy grabbed the Bombers’ lone goal.

South East now sits on 24 points, six behind Dublanc.

At the other end of the table, Middleham United climbed out of the automatic relegation places with a crucial 1-0 win over Belfast Estate Mahaut Soca Strikers.

Marcellus Bonney scored the game’s only goal, lifting Middleham to seventh points and ninth place in the standings.

Meanwhile, Do It Center Mighty Avengers came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Promex Harlem United. Tryrese Jno Baptiste scored for Harlem, while Jairon Mayers equalized for the Avengers, who remain in the relegation zone on five points, two behind Middleham.

In another Premier League fixture, Valvoline WE United defeated Bath Estate FC 2-1, with Roosevelt Copiel scoring both goals for WE United. Kelrick Walters scored for Bath Estate.

Women’s Premier League

Mahaut Soca Striketts edged the Kalinago Warriors 2-1, courtesy of goals from Britney Dennis and Saharie Stedman. Rachel Semper scored for the Warriors.

Promex Harlem United also claimed a 3-1 victory over All Saints FC at the Geneva Playing Field. Elana St. Rose, Kianna Francis, and Kimron Joseph were on target for Harlem.

Division One and Youth Results

In the Division One League, All Saints FC defeated North Side FC 5-0, with Danso Joseph scoring a hat-trick.

In the Under-15 League, Zane Thomas scored four goals as Point Michel defeated South City 7-2. Elsewhere, Dublanc edged Tarish United 1-0, while WE United cruised to a 5-1 victory over Harlem United.
