Parliamentary representative for the St Joseph Constituency Darron Lloyd believes a proposed river wall for Belles will go a long way towards protecting the residents of that area.
His comments following a stakeholder consultation in Belles on Monday to discuss the proposed construction of a river wall as part of a project funded by the Adaptation Fund.
This initiative, led by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, aims to enhance climate resilience in the area and is estimated to cost US$10 million.
