Assistant coach of the Sagicor South East football team, Alicious Prince, believes his team can still mount a serious challenge for the 2026 DFA Premier League title.
South East currently hold second place with 24 points as they head into this week’s round of matches, trailing leaders Dublanc by six points.
Prince acknowledges that Dublanc has not suffered a defeat since the 2024 season, but maintains that they can be beaten. He says his club will continue to focus on doing what is necessary to stay in contention.
Meanwhile, Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC sits atop the points table with 30 points, having won all ten of their matches so far. Sagicor South East are in second on 24 points, with eight wins and two defeats.
Belfast Estate Mahaut Soca Strikers are third with 19 points, Roosevelt Skerrit Portsmouth Bombers are fourth with 14 points, and Promex Harlem and Petro Caribe Point Michel are tied in fifth and sixth place, each with 13 points.
Bath Estate and Valvoline WE United are both on 10 points in seventh and eighth, respectively, while Middleham United have 7 points in ninth, and the Do It Center Mighty Avengers round out the table in tenth with 5 points.
The Premier League continues on Wednesday, with Dublanc set to face Middleham United at Almond Park in Dublanc.
