Shamar Felicite Claims MVP Honors After Powering Eagles to 2025 Crown

Paix Bouche Super Eagles Player, Shamar Felicite

Paix Bouche Super Eagles high-flyer, Shamar Felicite, has been named the MVP of the 2025 National Basketball season.

Felicite who led the Eagles to their first title since 2007, copped the award at the Dominica Amateur Basketball Association’s (DABA) prize giving ceremony on the weekend.

The Eagles won the 2025 league with the BAA Sharks finishing as runners up.

Meantime, Dr. Darroux Pichlien Falcons Sports Club forward, Zack Bastien, was the leading scorer in the premier league.

He also led the Division One league in scoring and was named the Division One MVP. The young Under-23 rising star says the award means the world to him.

Meanwhile, Premier League coach of the year was Leonard Paul of the Paix Bouche Super Eagles, Yanic regis of the Falcons was named Division One Coach of the year.

Keeyan Brumant of the Canefield Tigers was named youth player of the year.

In the women’s championship, 767 SO WHAT were women’s champions with D-tread Wingz runners-up.

Galene Seraphine of the champion side, 767 SO WHAT was named Women’s MVP, she also copped the award for the leagues top scorer and received a special award from Arlington James.

James himself was also recognized by the DABA for his contributions as a basketball historian and official over the years. Harold Julien also received a special award for years dedicated to officiating.

Meantime, the BAA Sharks won the 3×3 tournament on Saturday to be crowned national under 23 champions.
